After removing the light module and mounting the light frame, the space is too tight to get the light module remounted into the light frame because of the wires coming from the middle of the module. The space is very small and the wires just do not bend that easy. There is no way to pull the wires out of the way. Trying to push them under the frame is impossible. For the want of a 1/4" more clearance, I am returning the lights. I spent an Hr. including using dental floss pulling on the wires trying to get them back under the frame so I could seat the light. If the wire connections are on the other side of the mounting surface--no problems as you can pull the wires from the back.

Got these lights as well as others while converting my boat over to all LED lighting. Am very pleased with these with one exception. I bought the red/white model and using the light as an "on all night in case you have to use the head" light, the brightness somewhat faded. Still cant complain too much considering the price and the fact that the light was essentially on from friday night to monday morning from mid may thru halloween with another 11 day stretch in there.

These use very little power and sound like a great idea. My two issues are: 1. they produce less light than I expected, much less than the incandescent they replaced; and 2. they are flat backed so there's no place for the wiring. I guess the company thinks you have a hollow wall to mount these and the wires can be stuffed there. Not on my boat. Getting the wires connected and hidden is a bear. For my installation I needed a hollow wedge shaped mounting platform to direct the light into the cabin rather than straight down the side of the boat. I wound up using wooden shims.
