1000 Watt Power Inverter converts 12 volt vehicle battery power into 110 volts of AC power. I have not installed it in the boat yet but mounted it to a deep cycle battery and tried it. I tried everything I could find in the house... I tried a 1000 watt kettle... Worked great... I am not sure how much of the battery it used but seems to work well. I think mounting this uunit on rubber mounts would isolate the fan sound.

After searching the market for a reliable Power Inverter, I was nearly ready to give up hope. Nearly all of the brands I had tried seemed to be either DOA or would not produce the promised wattage. This was inexpensive and worked PERFECTLY. I was able to run the full 1000W without a problem. I have never come across an overheating prodblem either even though I run the unit 24 hours a fay. Needless to say, I would definitly recommend this to EVERYONE.

Once properly installed the unit works good. However the threads on the DC studs don't go all the way down. So the nut is tight but the cable is loose. The bad connection will heat up and damage both the cable and unit. The problem can be fixed by adding a couple washers for spacers. Also the holes in the lugs on the cables that come with the inverter are too large and make for a sloppy fit. Good luck

Was installed to add continous uninterupted power for refridgerator. not sure will last multiple years as continous. Mounted on solid bulkhead-fans are noisy and non-stop. would consider fine for emergency use or intermitant use.
