These compact bracket speakers measure just 4.5"W x 4"H x 4.5"D, are no-nonsense waterproof and built to doggedly endure the trials of marine use. We installed these on our 34' boat, and the sound quality is terrible. There is NO bass, so they sound 'tinny' 24/7.
Do your self a favor and remember, you get what you pay for!

I wasn't expecting much when I bought a pair of these, but they have certainly exceeded my expectations. Very nice sound, I was pleasantly surprised! Mine are mounted in an area protected from direct weather, they've lasted for 5 seasons. Please keep offering a similar item, I may need to replace mine in the coming years.

Clear, crisp sound. Not muddy/distorted. Reasonable bass, but no low bass due to the physics of a small speaker.
Solid/heavy case prevents rattling/distortion.
Good sturdy brackets.
Wire-entry seal was poor but easy to augment with additional sealant.
Uncertain of existence of seals at front face screws and speaker face but likely fine for occasional water spray.

Good product
As noted in other reviews perfect to supplement full range system in remote areas. I used these to squeeze into the combing boxes in my cockpit. I don't know how we lived without music!
Great value for the right location and expectation. I had more expensive speakers in my salon, cockpit and on my bridge, but just wanted to carry the tunes a little further to the bow of the vessel. Open the hatches and combined with my indoor subwoofer this system works great!
these are great speakers for a small boat or tight areas. Being waterproof, they are good for open bass boats, and the size is such that they stay out of your way. Hope west marine keeps these products!
