This product works exactly as advertised. I've used other resins and this performs as expected. In various temps and humidity levels, I've found that using 7-10 mL of hardener per pint of resin givens me about 10 minutes of working time and hardens quickly and evenly. I would recommend erring on the side of using slightly larger batches as it's easier to get the mixture correct.

I'm using this for bedding stringers, bulkheads, deck and transom repair.

First time I have used, just filled tiny dings and scratches on an old gel coated Thistle. Both baches cured differently, and now have some patches that are still a little yacky. Is there something to treat with that will make it more sandable?

    Comments about Polyester Boaters Resin:

This product is made my Evercoat and is waxed. Waxed means it will dry hard and not sticky. Polyester resin comes in two bases, ortho and Iso. Ortho based resin is really cheap and great for making putty and little repair. Ortho resin was used by boat builders until iso based was readily available. The main difference is that iso based resin cures to a closer bond than Ortho. That means Iso resin is more water prof than Ortho. This product is Iso based. I tried to get a data sheet to prove it from evercoat but they do not have one. This drawback with this product and all gallon resins is the drippage you get. Plus once it is empty, there is about a pint of resin still stuck on the sides and bottom.
