Goes on easy and dries fast and hard

This paint went on much easier than I expected and dried smoother than I thought it would. I have done bottom jobs before with other paints. This one is the best so far.

I have used Bottom Shield for 10 years, every year the Copper Oxide content is lower and lower, yet the price increases. Now that its down to only 28% Cuprous it doesnt work well in Lake Michigan anymore. Slime, growth and scum in a short time. Never had to really power wash at end of season, but now growth is horrible as the paint doesnt work. West Marine needs to boost the CuO percentage as it simply doesn work any more.

Bought and used this two years ago. Used as directed. Couldnt repaint last year so cleaned and relaunched. After hauled out this winter and power washed, it barely looks like it had been in the water! Great Paint! and side note the listed Con about this product is "messy"? Its paint. Why wouldnt it be messy?

My original review was posted 2/25/12. After four months continually in salt water, I was amazed at the absence of barnacles. They were there, but not like the tens of thousands in the past. I forsee only half a days work next October to do a little touch up where paint did not adhere quite so well then back into the water. The growth that was present, came off with minimal scraping. Was relecutant to give it 5 stars, but should be better than 4....

I've used this product several times, and for the few months my boat is in the water here in Lake Erie, it performs well! Most of what remains at the end of the season blasts off when I pull the boat out in the fall for storage, which leaves no real prep work when I go to reapply. The color is nice too. A gallon is enough to do my entire hull 1-2 times, on my 27' SeaRay.
