Easy to install but needs support pole to she'd rain.
Comments about West Marine Infatable Boat Accessory, Steel Pin, Grey:
I have had my AL390 for three years and use it every season in Lake Tahoe as a tender for my 27' Cobalt which has to stay on the buoy when the lake gets too low to use my boat lift. The '390 has proven to be highly reliable and durable for the past years. It is stored on the pier in the weather for the season and then rolled up and stored indoors for the off season. Setup and storage takes longer than I would prefer, and the boat is almost too heavy for one person to set up or store, however I do get it done alone. It has been used in and out of a rocky granite shore and has held up very well with no leaks except for one that was caused by stupidity. That leak was easily repaired with the included repair kit and has not leaked again. There hasn't been any noticable weathering of the PVC fabric after 3 seasons and all of the seams remain tight and sound which is quite surprising in our high altitude direct sun. I use a 4 HP Mercury outboard which won't win and speed races but the boat/outboard combination serves us well to take six passengers and supplies to and from the buoy. I've had it in two foot waves and 20 MPH winds well out in the lake and never worried about it taking on water, becoming uncontrollable, going airborne or capsizing. I highly recommend the boat as a safe, reliable and durable craft, but if you buy one be sure to glue in the plastic stringer end caps with some RTV so they don't get lost. Also be prepared for comments and jokes about the army green color.
