You get what you pay for. If you want a multi thousand dollar job, a perfect job use awl grip. If it doesn't have to be perfect... this is a great paint. But it does take weeks to cure, so don't think your going to paint today and think your going to use it tomorrow, try 2 weeks. At minimum.. I've seen it take a month to dry if coats are put on to thick. Also I live in south Florida and it was summer so humidity might play into the dry time. If you want a expensive fast dry paint or epoxy- use awe grip or gel coat which is just as easy to use if you have access to a hvlp gun and air. I prefer to use the west paint. For mediocre and under jobs and cash saving for the customer. And there always happy with the finished product. But the fully understand the dry time. Also unlike awl grip it can be repaired easily..

Used this on the cockpit sole of my sailboat. Nonskid particles float to the surface in the roller pan and no amount of mixing/stirring will resUlt in an even application of the nonskid particles. Doesn't look good! After less than a year of use the paint has broken down, releasing nonskid granules all over the cockpit sole.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY on this junk. I've just finished painting my entire deck with nonskid, a product called KiwiGrip....fantastic product, check it out, every, thing the West Marine product isn't!!!

Comments about West Marine Nonskid Paint - White, Gallon:

The paint applied easily using a roller or a brush. It was still soft and tacky after 24 hours but did dry to a high glos. The non-skid particles must be mixed frequently. There is a difference in non-skid particles from the first roller fill and subsequent roller fills leaving a non-uniform application. The completed deck looks great! would recommend.

Used the product on the top of a stand up paddleboard. It's slip resistance when wet is highly over-rated. Very disappointed and caused me a lot of extra work to remove it and repaint with a product that actually in non-slip when wet.

Comments about West Marine Nonskid Paint - White, Gallon:

I painted the top of my crab boat with this paint. The floor receives heavy wear from dragging and sliding heavy boxes on it. This is the second year in a row I've used this paint. It is heavy duty, and it will last.
