The paint applied easily using a roller or a brush. It was still soft and tacky after 24 hours but did dry to a high glos. The non-skid particles must be mixed frequently. There is a difference in non-skid particles from the first roller fill and subsequent roller fills leaving a non-uniform application. The completed deck looks great! would recommend.

Comments about Sea Gloss Pro Nonskid Paint:

I stopped 10 minutes into the project knowing I will have to remove it and start over. The particulate is too large and sticks up to the point that it easily breaks off after being fully dry leaving round particles on my feet and on deck. It did not dispurse evenly with constant stirring. I had excellent results with Interlux Interdeck before and will go back to that once I have removed this awful stuff.

Comments about Sea Gloss Pro Nonskid Paint:

We used this paint in an off-label application, i.e to refinish an unsightly terrazzo shower pan in our guest bedroom that we could not replace as our condo board would not allow it. My spouse did the entire job. The pan had an unsightly defect that we filled and patched with a mixture of sieved aquarium gravel (Topfin from PetSmart) and Liquitex acrylic modeling paste from Plaza art supply. We used US Gypsum Fiberglass Sheetrock tape to strengthen the patch. After the patch cured she sanded it to match the shape of the original terrazzo (see photograph)

My wife applied three coats in three consecutive days of Sea Gloss Pro non skid paint, with a foam brush. She mixed the paint with a waxing stick (Sally Beauty Supply) before each dip of the foam brush. The paint went on easy and uniform and so did the non skid particles. The finish looks great. The shower pan looks like it came out of the show room! We are in no hurry to use the shower so we are taking the advice of other reviewers to let the paint cure thoroughly. In a few months I will write another review as an update on long term outcomes.

Comments about Sea Gloss Pro Nonskid Paint:

Use light coats. I made the mistake of doing a heavy second coat and the top layer peeled leaving a wet layer of paint. Works well if you use light coats and let dry before applying another coat.

Comments about Sea Gloss Pro Nonskid Paint:

Tried it for the first time and loved it. A bit pricey but most tapes at your local box store are also. Sticks great and removes easily. I painted my gun whale with non skid and left the tape on for a week (probably not the smartest move but that's what time allowed me) and it peeled off no problem leaving a crisp line. This is my new go to product for painting.

You get what you pay for. If you want a multi thousand dollar job, a perfect job use awl grip. If it doesn't have to be perfect... this is a great paint. But it does take weeks to cure, so don't think your going to paint today and think your going to use it tomorrow, try 2 weeks. At minimum.. I've seen it take a month to dry if coats are put on to thick. Also I live in south Florida and it was summer so humidity might play into the dry time. If you want a expensive fast dry paint or epoxy- use awe grip or gel coat which is just as easy to use if you have access to a hvlp gun and air. I prefer to use the west paint. For mediocre and under jobs and cash saving for the customer. And there always happy with the finished product. But the fully understand the dry time. Also unlike awl grip it can be repaired easily..

Used this on the cockpit sole of my sailboat. Nonskid particles float to the surface in the roller pan and no amount of mixing/stirring will resUlt in an even application of the nonskid particles. Doesn't look good! After less than a year of use the paint has broken down, releasing nonskid granules all over the cockpit sole.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY on this junk. I've just finished painting my entire deck with nonskid, a product called KiwiGrip....fantastic product, check it out, every, thing the West Marine product isn't!!!
