Comments about Full-Finger Pro Racer Gloves:

I've had these for six months and after about a month the soft material below the leather on the palm began ripping. While the upper leathers are in decent shape the gloves are almost completely ripped in half now. This has been a common complaint from others I've talked to who own these gloves. The nail in the coffin for these gloves is that the velcro is now failing.

I've use these about once to twice per week dinghy sailing and keel boat racing. I feel like they weren't properly tested before release and this experience has really hurt my opinion of the gill brand.

When I first picked them up they fit perfectly but promptly shrunk, this likely contributed to the fabric ripping so get a size up if you want to take a chance, I won't again.

Good fit and style but little rough when new. After several uses, it became my second skin. No more abrasions and rope burns from the lines. Care is simple, just soak, rinse and air dry overnight.

Comments about Full-Finger Pro Racer Gloves:

I've had previous iterations of these gloves, which were great. This version has a seam between the middle and ring finger which is very uncomfortable. I can't believe the Gill designers but this stitch line here, it rubs on a sensitive area and seems like a very poor way to cut production costs. I would never recommend these to anyone, very poor design.

Comments about Full-Finger Pro Racer Gloves:

These gloves a heavy duty gloves that wear well. I race pretty exentsively on keelboats of all sizes and I've been able to use these gloves for 2 seasons now. Initially they wear a bit. The leather skuffs up quickly which was disconcerting but after that the gloves work really well even when wet.

Comments about Full-Finger Pro Racer Gloves:

I teach sailing and am hard on gloves. I usually wear out the glove over the pad of the middle finger which I use for friction when easing sheets.
The proton-ultra material in these gloves has held up very well under much use. All over the glove there's very little sign of wear in the ultra material. Unfortunately, the nylon lining around the ultra material on the palm and back is just shredding. I'm not sure if I'll spend the extra money for these again or not. I know I won't go back to plain leather gloves.

Do not hold up to Racing. Leather is good but the fabric wore out in less than one season. Not worth the price. Back to Ronstan.

Materials seemed to hold up to wear, but the construction is lacking. Although the fit was good, the gloves came apart at the seams after a few races. I guess I'll go back to the cheaper gloves.
