West Advantage Terms & Conditions
Participation in the West Advantage Silver Rewards Program is Free.
Participation in the West Advantage Gold Rewards Program™ featuring the Boat Owners Association of The United States requires payment of membership dues at the time of enrollment and annually to renew membership.
Participation in either West Advantage (Silver or Gold) Rewards Program (collectively, “Program”) is limited to individuals making purchases through West Marine retail stores, by phone, or online at westmarine.com. West Marine wholesale customers (i.e., West Marine Pro customers), businesses and other entities do not qualify for Program membership.
Membership in either Program is accepted for purchases made at any West Marine store, by phone or online at westmarine.com.
In either Program, a qualified merchandise purchase (“Qualified Purchase”) is required to earn West Advantage Points (“Points”) toward Program Reward Certificates (“Reward Certificates”).
Boating product purchases are considered Qualified Purchases. Purchase of services, including but not limited to, Towing and trailer services shall be considered nonmerchandise, and are excluded from earning Points under any Program.
Members enrolled in the West Advantage Silver Rewards Program with no Qualified Purchase activity within a twelve (12)-month period from enrollment date forfeit accrued Points. Members enrolled in the West Advantage Gold Rewards Program will retain their Points regardless of Qualified Purchase activity, provided BoatU.S. membership dues are paid when due and there is no interruption in membership.
Members enrolled in the West Advantage Gold Rewards/BoatU.S. Program who do not renew their memberships within thirty (30) days past expiration, will automatically be enrolled in the FREE West Advantage Silver Rewards Program and rules applicable to that Program will apply.
West Marine Associates may join either Program, however, only retail transactions qualify.
Program Members (“Members”) earn one (1) Point for every one dollar ($1.00) of Qualified Purchases by presenting their Membership number or card or by providing their phone number at the time of making a Qualified Purchase.
Points earned and Reward Certificates awarded pursuant to either Program have no cash redemption or currency value.
Points in either Program cannot be awarded for Qualified Purchases made prior to enrollment.
Points can only be applied to the Program account belonging to the individual making the Qualified Purchase. Identification may be required.
Points earned will be adjusted for all Qualified Purchases that are returned for refund or credit or are substituted or replaced with non-merchandise or merchandise that is not a Qualified Purchase.
West Marine does not ship products, perform services or conduct any business in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Shipping, taxes, West Marine Pro transactions, towing and trailer services and other non-merchandise items and services are excluded from earning Points in either Program. Coupons, other reward certificates and some gift card redemptions are also excluded.
Member Reward Certificates
Reward Certificates will be issued monthly once a Member has accumulated 500 points for West Advantage Silver Rewards Program and 250 points for West Advantage Gold Rewards Program
Reward Certificates will be emailed to members who have an active email on file. Reward Certificates can also be accessed online at WestMarine.com/my-account.
Reward Certificates are issued in $5.00 increments to Members enrolled in the West Advantage Silver Rewards Program, and, in $10.00 increments to Members enrolled in the West Advantage Gold Rewards Program. Reward Certificates can be used only towards future Qualified Purchases.
Limitations on the use of Reward Certificates
Reward Certificates will expire twelve (12) months from the date of issue, or as reflected on the certificate, whichever is less.
Reward Certificates may be redeemed for Qualified Purchases made in West Marine Stores, by phone at (1-800-BOATING) or online at westmarine.com. Rewards have no cash value; no change/currency will be given. Certificates cannot be applied to prior purchases, non-merchandise purchases, gift card purchases, purchases made by Associates at Associate pricing, West Marine Pro purchases, taxes, shipping and handling charges, or as payments towards insurance, financing or other nonmerchandise services. West Marine reserves the right to change this list of exclusions any time or limit the use of Reward Certificates, for any reason, without prior notification.
Each Reward Certificate shall only be used once. Maximum number of Reward Certificates that can be used on a single online order is 90 (ninety), however, during business hours, Customer may contact our Customer service at (800) 262-8464 or Live Chat to apply additional Reward Certificates for the same order.
West Marine further reserves the right to charge back the full price to Customer in case of unauthorized use of the Reward Certificate in violation of any West Marine terms and conditions.
West Advantage Gold Rewards Program Members will automatically be enrolled in BoatU.S. membership. Member benefit offers are valid in the United States only, unless otherwise specified, and are subject to change at any time.

Membership in either Program is active for one year from the date of enrollment. In the event one or both Programs are terminated for any reason as determined solely by West Marine, remaining Point balances and Reward Certificates and BoatU.S. benefits will be forfeited and void at the time of Program termination
West Marine reserves the right to change, modify or alter either Program’s rules, terms and conditions and limitations, or to cancel in whole or in part one or both of these Programs at any time, for any reason, without prior notification. West Marine also reserves the right to modify, adjust, change or cancel, in whole or in part, any individual Membership, Points and/or Reward Certificates and/or the terms and conditions applicable to such Membership, Points and/or Reward Certificates, including those previously issued, for any reason, without prior notification. If Membership, Points and/or Reward Certificates, including those previously issued, are modified, adjusted, changed or cancelled, in whole or in part, West Marine and/or BoatU.S. will notify the individual Member after such modification, adjustment, change or cancellation occurs by any means of communication as determined appropriate by West Marine or BoatU.S. West Marine reserves the right to terminate any Customer’s membership for any misuse, and/or violation of West Marine policy.
This Membership offer and participation is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
