The BlackTip Surf reel features a corrosion-resistant graphite body, single-anodized aluminum spool, and stainless steel mainshaft. The sealed drag will keep saltwater out and avoid corrosion of drag components which will quickly lead to rough and unpredictable drag operation. The smooth 3-ball bearing system including a soft T handle provides comfort and power when reeling in your catch. The BlackTip Surf rod is built to endure heavy use with a fiberglass blank and stainless steel guides.
The 4.0:1 gear ratio provides plenty of torque and combined with a large spool diameter gives a fast line retrieve of 39.5". The drag can be dialed up to 30 pounds for playing and reeling in larger fish and since the combo is rated for up to 50 pound test line you'll have no problem bringing in your next monster catch.
