These poles can be used as part of a manual shallow water anchoring system designed to give anglers a silent and non-invasive solution to holding the boat position while fishing. When combined with one of the many Dig In mounting brackets (sold separately), these 8', 10' and 12' light weight 3/4" fiberglass composite poles allow fisherman to anchor the boat silently without a splash—and without spooking fish. Retrieval is done by simply lifting the pole from the mounting bracket. It comes up clean and stores easily in existing rod holders or using the included clips; no more wet and muddy anchors and rope to haul into your boat. The rubber handles provide a solid grip with setting to retrieving the poles. Kayakers will appreciate the simplicity of using a pole to anchor in shallower waters. Kayaks can be anchored by inserting these poles through the scuppers found on many fishing and sit-on-top style kayaks. Just make sure the scupper is compatible with the 3/4" diameter of the pole.
