Boaters can save space and simplify installation by selecting an inverter/charger to tackle two tasks with a single unit. This Kisae inverter/charger combines their True Sine technology with some of the advanced features of the ABSO battery chargers. The True sine technology delivers grid quality AC power from your boat’s battery banks. The ABSO technology provides a 4 stage charger that efficiently and safely charges a variety of batteries.
True Sine Wave inverters are the only choice for use with sensitive electronics and variable speed motors found in Air conditioners and power tools. Kisae engineers inverters to run silently and provide AC power with minimal harmonic distortion for power that matches the AC sourced from shore power. This power protects electronics and other sensitive equipment from damage by allowing to operation and function as designed.
An integrated Transfer Switch protects batteries from unwanted depletion. When the boat is plugged in after being away from the dock, the inverter will automatically transfer AC loads to shore power. This transfer is completed within 20 milliseconds and won’t interrupt use of AC driven equipment.
The 4 Stage Charger provides 100A of charging power for larger battery banks and uses a set-it and forget-it approach to simplify operation. Select a priority bank, then select from flooded, AGM or Gel settings to match battery banks and let the charger do the rest. The priority bank receives the majority of available current to charge faster than the other banks. The charger will provide bulk, absorption, float and maintenance charge rates to safely restore the battery’s charge while extending battery life. If all banks require a charge, the charger will simultaneously charge all three and return to the priority bank upon completion. A manual equalization setting is available to periodically equalize batteries if required.
An LCD display provides vital system information to monitor operation and alert users to possible issues. This display can be mounted remotely using the included 10' cable for added convenience and will provide input voltage, output power and fault detection. LED indicator lights on the display confirm battery power, charging and faults.
Safety is built into the Kisae inverter/chargers to protect itself and the boat. To prevent deep discharging the batteries, low voltage protection will shut down the inverter when voltage dips to 10.5V ; an audible alarm will alert you with enough time to save your work on a laptop or shut systems down before the loss of power. Over voltage protection will shut down the invert to prevent it from operating beyond its capacity. In extreme temperatures, the inverter will also shut down to prevent damage.
The 2000W continuous AC output and 100A charging abilities make this inverter/charger ideal for recreational and commercial boats with moderate to large AC loads and large battery banks. The pure sine inverter will provide power for 1200W microwaves, hair-dryers, coffee makers (including Keurig® models), power tools, hot plates and more. A 4000W surge rating will handle spikes in power draw caused by start-ups without tripping a breaker. The 100A of charging power will handle most battery banks within an acceptable time frame
