The 14’ Race model was designed to compete at the highest level, against the fastest paddlers in the world; period. They have the ultimate carrying capacity between the power phase of the stroke, and can handle side and quarter chop easily. They are very quick to speed, can catch even the smallest bumps, are stable and fast at the buoy turns. Featuring Lahui Kai’s 3X Carbon construction, ConnexSUP and a LiftSUP handle.
Hull
The Carbon Race features a finely tuned displacement racing hull that cuts through water. This keeps the energy you exert flowing and minimizes the effort you have to put out while paddling...keeping you going for those long races. This hull is made using our 3x Carbon Fiber construction so it can absorb bumps and bruises that you may encounter along the way.
Deck
From tip to tail, the deck is fully loaded to meet any and all of your racing needs. Featuring a Gore-Tex vent plug, custom anti-fatigue EVA deck pad, and an easy to carry patented LIFTSUP handle that even gives the board a super strong place to run a cable lock through when left on your vehicle. An Australian racing handle on the side provides you with another method of grabbing your board for super fast beach starts. The CONNEXSUP modular gear plugs mounted through out the board give you endless options for mounting your favorite accessories or stowing gear.
Volume
One of the most important and often overlooked specs of any paddleboard is volume. The riders weight vs. the boards volume is the best way to fit a rider to the right board. The 14’ Race features a whopping 285 litters of volume, allowing for a rider and his/her gear to total 255 lbs.
Shape
The finely tuned racing shape is the result of years of testing in the California shaping room of world class board shaper Brian Szymanski. His boards have produced more wins for top athletes than any other shaper in the world. The 27.25” wide silhouette is perfect for paddlers looking to step up into the race style of paddling without sacrificing too much stability.
Construction
The Lahui Kai Racing models all feature 3XCarbon construction. 2 layers of carbon fiber on the top and 1 layer on the bottom. All 3 layers overlap onto the rails creating an I-beam of carbon fiber. This gives the board unmatched structural integrity and keeps the board super light. All Lahui Kai Racing models have 1 lb EPS foam cores.
