Product Overview
If you use your boat in freshwater only, these magnesium collar anodes are your best choice for protecting your boat's shaft and prop against galvanic corrosion.
Use cadmium-free, magnesium anodes if you only use your boat in freshwater. (Zinc anodes can "passivate" and stop working in freshwater.) Magnesium anodes should not be used in any other water type. If you trailer your boat, and use it in a variety of saltwater, brackish and freshwater locations, aluminum anodes are the best all-around choice for protecting underwater metal parts.
Key Features
- Magnesium alloy for use in saltwater only
- Meet stringent military specificatins for sacrificial anodes
- Interlocking halves with hex-head machine screw fasteners
- Extra alloy around fasteners
