Minn Kota® Electric Motor Console for Predator XL Angler Kayak
It's easy to add a 45-pound thrust electric motor to your Predator XL kayak!
What? Yes, you read that correctly!
The top designers at Old Town teamed up with the technology innovators from Minn Kota and voilà, a modular system was born! When combined with the Predator XL's foot controlled rudder system, this electric motor provides you with the kayak fishing equivalent of a bass boat or shallow water skiff. This console is also included as a complete package with the Predator MK Minn Kota Motorized Sit-On-Top Angler Kayaks if you don't already own the Predator XL.
At the heart of this system is a revolutionary electric motor console that delivers 45 pounds of silent thrust, with infinitely variable speed control in both forward and reverse so you'll enjoy completely hands-free navigation, trolling and structure fishing. Maximum speed is 5+/- mph. This console is easy to drop in place and remove in seconds so you can stash it in a secure location (like inside your vehicle) while transporting your kayak or when leaving it unattended.
In addition to the electric motor, the console also features a digital maximizer for full day motoring, LED charge indicator, USB charge ports, sonar head unit mounting plate, sonar transducer mount, integral wire and battery storage and a dry storage compartment with quick-seal hatch. An included quick-stand allows you to easily raise the motor to avoid obstructions in the water or to clear weeds from the propeller. Dual kill switches add an extra measure of safety should you become unexpectedly separated from your kayak.
A battery box that is ready to plug into the pre-wired Predator XL system is available and holds the required Group 24 rechargeable, deep cycle, sealed marine battery (both sold separately).
