The hood features a generous design that's made to fit over a baseball cap, while the longer sleeves with thumb holes cover your hands for additional protection in heated conditions. This simple pullover provides an easy sun shelter for anglers who’d rather not have to fool around with gloves, neck gaiters and broad-brimmed hats. 50+ UPF

The Tropic Comfort Hoodie II features a sun protection rating of 50+ UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor), which means only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays that fall on the surface will pass through and reach your skin. The sun protection is built-in so, unlike messy sunscreen, it won't wear off or need to be reapplied throughout the day.

Polygiene® Odor Control

Polygiene permanently protects your garments from smelling like those running shoes you left closed up in your gym bag for a week. Although sweat itself is odorless, it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of the odor-causing bacteria on the fabric, so you can wear your hoodie more and wash it less. Polygiene-treated products can be washed at lower temperatures and washed less often, because they can be worn several times between launderings. This is significant because energy and water used to wash and dry garments at home is a major contributor to water use, energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions over the lifetime of a garment. The useful lifetime of your hoodie is diminished with bacteria and repeated laundering. The Polygiene treatment adds life to your hoodie so you don't need to buy a new one as often.
