Women's Torrentshell Rain Jacket
If you pack this jacket whenever you head outside for adventure, you'll be singing,
"Rain, rain go away, but if you come out I'm still going to play."
Whether you're paddling across Saranac Lake to camp on an island, fishing for Sturgeon on the Columbia River or thru-hiking the Continental Divide Trail, packing Patagonia's Torrentshell Rain Jacket is easy insurance against a soggy, miserable day. With its 2.5-layer H2No® Performance Standard shell fabric you'll have a waterproof, windproof, breathable and highly packable shelter from the storm. Just be sure you've got it stowed where you can get to it quickly. And if using environmentally responsible products is important to you, you'll be glad to know this jacket's 100% recycled nylon ripstop shell is made from fabric that's certified as bluesign® approved. Imported.
Wonderfully Waterproof
The Torrentshell Rain Jacket features a lightweight, water-repellent, 2.5-layer H2No® Performance Standard fabric shell of 2.9oz., 50-denier, 100% recycled nylon ripstop. This shell fabric is combined with a waterproof, yet breathable membrane, a protective top coat barrier and a durable water repellent (DWR) finish. This design allows the jacket to be constructed without the need for an internal lining fabric. A distinctive raised print layer is applied for decreased surface tension and increased moisture management. The DWR finish not only repels light rain and snow and decreases drying time, it also keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so the breathable barrier can do its job—keeping you dry on the inside and out.
bluesign® Approved Fabric
bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers and safe for the end customers. Fabric that is certified as bluesign approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in its manufacture that conserves resources and minimizes impacts on people and the environment.
