SeaGold brings marine wood finishes into the 21st century. With a water-based formula that is low in VOCs, SeaGold Marine Wood Treatment combines the beauty and durability of varnish, with the ease of application of synthetic wood treatments—all while being low-odor and user friendly.
SeaGold protects the wood using UV stable resins combined with added UV inhibitors as well as transluscent pigments to provide a long-lasting finish that will not turn brown or orange with exposure to the elements.
SeaGold has a satin finish that enhances the beauty of the wood and its translucent amber color does not hide or blur the wood grain.
SeaGold is compatible with most varnishes.
Unlike many other wood treatments, SeaGold can be applied over existing varnishes that are in good condition. SeaGold can be applied by itself to produce a beautiful satin finish—but if you prefer a gloss finish, it can be overcoated with a traditional varnish, such as Captain’s Varnish from Pettit.
SeaGold is easy to apply and easy to maintain.
SeaGold brushes and flows on easily and with its fast-drying formula allows 3-4 coats to be applied in one day with no sanding between coats. When it is time to renew the coating, a quick scuffing with a plastic scrub pad and wipe down with water and you’re ready to recoat.
