Talk about more bang for your buck. You'll be hard pressed to find another single pair of shoes that works as well on the water as they do on land.

Now you have the perfect answer to the question of what to wear on your boat and what to wear scrambling over a rocky shoreline—Sperry 7 SEAS Boat Shoes. Utilizing technology developed for America's Cup athletes, they've created shoes that not only handle everything Mother Nature can dish out as you sail, motor or paddle the ocean, lake, river or any other body of water you encounter, they also provide surefooted confidence on wet or dry land as well. Cruising to an island paradise and have limited space on your boat? With Sperry 7 SEAS Boat Shoes you're covered for the journey AND exploring once you get there. No need to sacrifice performance or comfort for either.

The best boat shoes are quickly forgotten once you put them on. In the heat of competition, either against yourself, other competitors or just the conditions, the last thing you want to do is worry about slipping or feel like your heavy, soggy shoes are holding you down. That's where these shoes shine (so to speak). Traction, fit and comfort that feels like an extension of your own body, only better. Imported.

Beastly Traction

Let's face it, if your shoes don't offer superior grip, you're going to spend all your time:

A. In the water

B. Getting back up off the deck

C. Wiping mud off your knees

Assuming you prefer to remain upright on whatever surface you find yourself, you'll appreciate the soles that are at the very heart of these technically savvy shoes. At first glance, you can't help but notice the Terrain Traction Pods (those oval-shaped lugs on the bottom of your Sperry 7 SEAS Boat Shoes) and the deep grooves at the heels and toes. The pods provide extra grip on land, whether the conditions are wet or dry, while the grooves help disperse any water away from the soles. Now bend the flexible soles upward in your hand and you'll see what makes these shoes really stand out on the water—Razor-Cut Wave-Siping™. Tiny, wavy slits have been cut into each of the pods. These slits, in combination with the larger, deeper grooves mentioned previously, are almost guaranteed to keep you securely attached to the gelcoat most boat decks are covered with. And speaking of gelcoat, the rubber outsoles on Sperry 7 SEAS Boat Shoes are non-marking. Translation: No ugly black streaks on the white deck.

Fierce Fit

Okay these soles have awesome traction. That's all you need to keep you from slipping, right? Not so fast! Another essential consideration is the fit. Once your feet get wet, they'll slide right out of your shoes unless they are securely locked in. These shoes solve that problem. Sperry started with their MocFit construction which provides more flexibility so they conform to your feet, not the other way around. Next they added a feature Sperry shoes are known for—their 360° Lacing System™. Unlike lesser boat shoes, you'll get a secure fit all the way around your feet, not just across your insteps. Overall stability is improved since your shoes won't move independently of your feet. Then they added their SeaBound integrated energy return system for cushioning that doesn't sap your energy, it gives it back. So a day on the water is like a walk in the park or vice versa.

Intense Vent

No shoes can keep your feet dry unless they are waterproof, air tight and fit so snuggly against your legs that water can't get in. Of course your feet would then sweat like you'd just run a marathon. Sperry 7 SEAS Boat Shoes take an entirely different approach. Utilizing what Sperry calls Intense Vent construction, these shoes work to make sure the water they come into contact with doesn't stick around. For starters, their hydrophobic (a fancy word for water-repelling) mesh uppers with HydroPel technology simply don't hold water, so they dry off quickly and always feel light and breezy. In addition to this flow-through, non-absorbing mesh, Sperry uses their OmniVent system to ensure that water that gets inside your shoes makes its way immediately out. Strategically placed vents in the insoles at the heels and balls of your feet channel water through vents in the midsoles away from your shoes. The mere act of walking or moving around on your boat forces the water out and lets your feet breathe.
