Maintaining its sleek shape and balanced hull, this yak provides speed the speed and agility you crave on the water.
A comfortable seat and stable platform combine to make casting while sitting or standing a breeze. Extra SlideTrax™, larger dry storage and propulsion opportunities with Helix MD™ Motor Drive compatibility (sold separately) allow you to outfit the Tarpon 130X to suit all your angling needs. Paddle to your favorite fishing spots or to new, unchartered waters with confidence then paddle home with your bounty in Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130X Angler Sit-On-Top Kayak.
AirPro LITE Seating System
Comfort and adjustability define the AirPro LITE seat. The innovative slide-on-track system allows you to trim the kayak full forward and aft so you can carry more gear, or better position yourself in rough waters. With easy access, grab handles you can quickly adjust the seat in high, low or recline positions without getting up.
The AirPro features a vented seat designed to keep you cool and dry while providing drainage. These perfectly placed holes not only provide ventilation but also work to cushion and support your legs, spine and oblique muscles so you can sit comfortably longer.
The Keepers XL Foot Brace system offers larger, “gas pedal” style footpegs that provide better grip and more control while paddling. You can conveniently and easily adjust the footpegs for the most comfortable position to suit your needs. Together with the Keepers XL Foot Brace System, this kayak raises the bar for comfort and adjustability. Before you know it, you’ll have spent your entire day on the water.
SlideTrax™ Accessory System
Featuring rear and front SlideTrax™, the Tarpon 130X is customizable, easily accommodating even more accessories and gear. Quickly and easily attach, remove and reconfigure your gear depending on conditions and activities. Attach your fish finder, rod holders, light, flagpole, or GoPro mount to get the most out of your kayak. This easy to use attachment system is made from marine-grade, anodized aluminum to provide strength and durability.
Constructed from strong, high-density polyethylene, the Tarpon’s hull lasts long even in rough waters. Wilderness Systems engineered a flared hull to provide balanced stability and superior tracking while maintaining speed and handling. It glides well while reducing hull slap in choppy waters.
Featuring a number of storage options to carry your gear, the Tarpon boasts two, large Orbix hatches on the bow and midship for dry storage. The round, midship Orbix hatch is easily accessible and within arm’s reach while the oval-shaped, bow Orbix hatch is larger and features hatch that opens and closes easily with 2 levers.
An even larger tankwell than previous models allows you to carry a cooler, tackle box, or bag securely thanks to the adjustable bungee cord. This tankwell features scuppers making it self-bailing so your gear stays drier. Finally, midship mesh pockets store your tools or other small items close at hand.
Flex Pod OS Configurations
Outfitted with Wilderness Systems’ versatile Flex Pod OS which allows you to store gear or install electronics and propulsion systems like their Helix MD™ Motor Drive (sold separately). This removable console can mount a fish finder, battery and transducer in one pod. Two, simple, easy-to-use clips secure the pod in place. Remember, to place your battery in a waterproof bag for protection.
There are multiple configurations available on the Tarpon 130X. If you want to install a Helix MD™ Motor Drive propulsion system in the Flex Pod location, you can place a transducer just behind the Flex Pod in the Transducer Scupper location. This allows you to run the motor system and fish finder at the same time. You would need to mount the fish finder on one of the convenient SlideTrax™ rails if this is the case.
In front of the Transducer Scupper is a removable utility pod cover that is easy to install and remove. This pod is useful for storing tools, tackle or a beverage while on the water.
