Men's 12" Legacy Boots
|Warranty Details||One Year|
These boots are such a fixture in the commercial fishing industry, they're often referred to as Alaskan sneakers.
Xtratuf's Legacy Boots are not your typical waterproof boots. These are the tried and true boots that have been worn by Alaskan fishermen for over 50 years. Essential gear for some of the world's toughest conditions. You'll find the same durability and waterproof construction in these shorter boots as the boots worn by those guys who risk their lives pulling crab traps from the Bering Sea. If they trust their boots to protect them against those frigid conditions, cold water and rough seas, imagine how dry they'll keep your feet when you're out sportfishing, boating or working on construction sites in inclement weather. (They also make great all-around boots if you work on a farm.) Imported.
The Uppers: You might not be getting pounded by arctic waves or sloshing around in chum on a regular basis, but the chemical-resistant, triple dipped latex neoprene rubber these boots are made from is not only 100% waterproof, it'll outlast standard rubber boots in solvents, caustics, hydrocarbons, fats and acids. Tested to withstand organic and inorganic acids and chemicals, Xtratuf boots are made so you can stand strong in whatever you do get yourself into. The uppers are ozone resistant, as well as softer, lighter and far more pliable than ordinary rubber for enhanced comfort.
The Insoles: Removable cushioned insoles with arch supports like these might not seem like a big deal. That is until you pull them out after a day on the water, wash them, let them dry and then slip them back inside refreshed for the next trip. Plus, the cushioning helps fight fatigue and leg and back stress when you're on your feet all day.
The Outsoles: Slip-resistant, non-marking Chevron outsoles made from a proprietary rubber compound give you sure footing on wet, slick surfaces in the most extreme conditions.
