About the Seekonk Store

Seekonk sits on the border of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and is part of the Greater Providence area. Boaters, sailors, fishermen and kayakers have easy access to the Seekonk and Providence Rivers as well as a variety of local bays. As the area’s only full-service marine supply store, locals depend on West Marine Seekonk for a variety of boating supplies and gear.

Boating

Providence Marina is a great launching point to cruise the Providence River through the city’s downtown with a stop at a waterfront restaurant. Boaters can motor to nearby Bristol, known as the “Home of Herreshoff,” a famous yacht designer, and explore the Herreshoff Maritime Museum and the America’s Cup Hall of Fame. Our knowledgeable staff has years of boating experience and can recommend the right boat parts, navigation equipment, safety gear and marine electronics.

Sailing

The area’s rivers, bays, coves and channels give sailors plenty to explore. Many local sailing clubs cruise together to a variety of New England ports of call while others race to test their seamanship. West Marine specializes in the supplies sailors need like sailboat hardware, rigging and foul weather gear.

Fishing

Anglers come to the Providence River in hopes of catching striped bass. Nearby Narragansett Bay is also a popular spot for catching bluefish and seabass, and shell fishing for local clams called quahog. Local anglers trust West Marine for the best fishing gear, nets, rods, reels and tackle.

Kayaking

Nearby Warwick, Rhode Island is a popular kayaking spot featuring 39 miles of coastline that is home to a variety of beautiful waterfowl including sandpipers and cormorants. For an easier paddle, beginner kayakers can launch at Warwick City Park and glide Brushneck Cove. Let us outfit your next paddle adventure with the right gear.
