Frequently Bought Together
Safe for aluminum hulls, Trilux 33 provides multi-season antifouling protection.
Dual-biocide Trilux 33 uses cuprous thiocyanate to control hard fouling growth and Biolux technology to control slime and algae growth. Because it uses cuprous thiocyanate instead of the cuprous oxide (commonly used in most bottom paints), Trilux 33 can be applied to aluminum hulls, outboards and sterndrives without fear of galvanic corrosion.
As an ablative paint with a slow polishing action, Trilux 33 is a good choice for fast, active, frequently used boats. Because it slowly self-polishes and wears away at a controlled rate, paint build-up is reduced, along with the need for sanding at haulout.
Also unlike antifouling paints that contain cuprous oxide, Trilux 33 will not lose its effectiveness when exposed to air, which makes it ideal for trailered boats. You can paint in the fall and splash in the spring! Trilux 33 is available is five bright colors: Blue, Green, Red, Black and White.

Another way to determine bottom paint quantity is to estimate the approximate surface area of the hull below the waterline, using the following formula:
Length x Beam x .75 = Approximate underwater surface area in square feet.
Each paint has a “theoretical coverage” area, but most paints require at least two coats, so you can expect actual coverage to be no greater than half of the theoretical value.
