Shop West Marine for the engine replacement parts you need.

When marine engine parts need repair or replacing, you can count on West Marine to have exactly the part you need, from air filters to internal engine parts to a multitude of seals and o-rings.

How do you determine the correct part to order?

One way is to look for the OEM part number. OEM stands for “original equipment manufacturer”. You can also input the make, model, year of manufacture and horsepower of your sterndrive, inboard engine or outboard into our online Engine Parts Finder. This interactive resource is provided courtesy of our vendor/partner Sierra, the world's largest supplier of aftermarket marine parts.

For help with selecting marine engine parts, read our West Advisor article Getting the Right Engine Parts.

Air filters ensure the air provided to your boat engine is free of dust and debris that reduce the engine’s performance. These are typically replaced each year.

Whether your boat’s engine has a raw water cooling system or a heat exchanger, you’ll want to monitor the components of the system regularly. In each type of system, there are at least some parts that come in contact with saltwater, which can lead to corrosion. These should be inspected annually and replaced every few seasons or at signs of corrosion or excessive mineral deposits.

Components of exhaust systems should be inspected annually for boats in saltwater and biannually for boats in freshwater. Catching issues early could save you major headaches and repairs from water damage to the engine or corrosion. For a bit more on exhaust systems, read our West Advisor article Exhaust System Basics.

If you are encountering issues with the electrical parts of your boat’s motor, the degree of difficulty when it comes to troubleshooting will depend on your engine and your level of expertise. No matter what needs replacing, West Marine can supply starters, ignition systems, OEM or aftermarket parts, and more.

Carburetors and electronic fuel injection ensure there is the correct mix of fuel and air for combustion. West Marine, through our aftermarket parts supplier Sierra, offers new and refurbished carburetors and parts for electronic fuel injection.
