Comments about Multiple Port Shower Sump:

I am on my 3rd unit within one year, the last unit stopped working in under 30 days.
Westmarine warranty is awesome and the only reason I keep replacing it.

The float gauge goes out and causes the pump to cycle every 15 min without pumping.

Comments about Multiple Port Shower Sump:

I have to replace this unit about once a year, always just after the warranty has expired due to float sticking and not pumping water out. At times the float sticks and does not shut off pump unless I interupt the power by switching off then back on again.
Make simple replacemnt parts (float) to fix without having to spend 125/yr to replace.

Comments about Multiple Port Shower Sump:

Remove both float switch screws, move switch laterally so only 1 screw holding switch, this moves float switch away from water falling on it, Float switch works great after move.

              Doesn't Stop Running

Comments about Multiple Port Shower Sump:

The water sensing switch does not turn off when chamber is dry. Installed sump, which routinely ran for 15 minutes or more after the sump was evacuated of water - annoying noise and waste of battery power. Asked at West Marine if this was normal, they said "No" and they were willing to exchange. Took out the sump, exchanged, reinstalled and found the second sump ran even longer before shutting down. Did find that if the power was turned off, then back on, the pump would stop. But, you can't turn off the pump every time you wash your hands in the head sink. Would be easier to use a bucket. Never thought we would wish for old float switches.

Comments about Multiple Port Shower Sump:

Needed multiport for shower and A/C. Screw down top seals in shower odors from bildge. Electronic switch eliminates sticking float problems.
Cons are: Price, other suppliers offer for less but are always "out of stock" and Mounting, 2 flimsy plastic ears are all that's holding it in "rough weather".
