Product Description

Enjoy mouth-watering meals aboard with the versatile Cabo grill. Ideal for budget-minded boaters unwilling to sacrifice quality for cost, the Cabo is designed to give seagoing chefs the advantages of backyard grilling on their boat.

Extremely versatile to suit your needs

With a large, domed lid with a stay-cool plastic handle lets you grill, roast or even bake foods. And with 162 sq.in. of cooking area, the Cabo is large enough to cook up enough to feed the whole crew. One of the great things about the Cabo is that it’s not just for use on your boat. Its fold-away tabletop legs are great for use on your deck or patio as well. And it’s safe to use, too. A swiveling control valve/regulator allows quick, safe fuel canister exchanges. The Cabo’s easily regulated 11,200 But heat output gives you complete heat control so your meals come out just right. The Cabo uses standard 1lb. propane canisters or adapts to on-board LPG or CNG systems.

Designed and built for years of onboard service

No one wants to cook a meal on a nasty rusted, corroded old grill. And with the Cabo’s double-lined, 18-9 mirror-polished stainless steel construction, you won’t have to! This 9" x 18" LP gas grill will withstand season after season of on-deck use.

Additional accessories expand the Cabo’s functions

Optional serving shelf with cutting board easily attaches for bonus serving space and instantly detaches for easy cleanup. West Marine also sells multiple mounting options, as well as a variety of grill covers to keep your Magma grill protected over the long haul.

The Magma Cabo grill works excellent. I have the fishing pole mount and put the grill on my 20 foot boat in one of the rod holders. The rod holder mount works very well and I don't worry about it underway (inshore only). The first time on the water we had steak and shrimp kabobs. It was a little windy but the grill stayed lit and never blew out. The Magma Cabo Grill is very well built and just the right size for a small outing of 4-6 people. I would recommend it to anyone. You can't find a better grill for the price. Got mine at West Marine just in time for summer time on the water.

The major flaw is the bracket on the bottom of the grill, which holds the drip pan and to which the rail mount is attached. The bracket is fastener with six tiny spot welds, which let go the first time someone banged into the grill while it was mounted on the stern rail. I re-attached the bracket with machine screws.

    Comments about Cabo Gas Grill:

Grill folks very evenly. No starter, but a long lighter fixes that. The biggest difference between this model and the next step up is the metal edges are not rolled over. The legs are sound and secure, we grill off the swim platform of the boat.

        Comments about Cabo Gas Grill:

Grill setup and clean up is very easy. The low heat setting is about as high as I needed. Flame up with anything higher. Med heat with top down total flame up when grilling sausages. I don't think the unit would be advisable for slow cooking like ribs.
        Overall pretty happy with product.

Nice value in a 16 X9, although stainless steel is already pitting after only 3 days in the ocean air. Spent $130 in accessories (more than I paid for the grill on sale) just for cover and mounting bracket

                  Comments about Cabo Gas Grill:

I just bought this grill at the last 1 day sale and what a deal ! With the sale price and the Gold certificates I could not pass it up.

I had researched grills for the boat a good bit and this grill has none of the 3 popular negatives I had seen on the rectangular grill which are 1) The wind puts it out. not any more. This grill has a baffle behind the air intakes and the flavor bar further protects the burner. Long story short we were grilling out of the water in 8-12 knot wind yesterday and had beautiful evenly cooked steaks.. 2) The mount is not solid.. Follow simple instructions, and it's perfectly stable and solid. The mount bolts need to face you for the grill to balance correctly. 3) The propane bottle is not secure..Again, follow simple instructions and it's solid. The groove on the regulator pin tube has to engage in the little pin in the grill side tube. If you want to be sure the bottle cannot rotate while sailing, a $2.00 bungee keeps it tight on the pulpit.

This grill is some of the best money I have spent on my boat..
