Comments about CFA Eco Copper-Free Antifouling Paint:

Have used three different copper-free bottom paints over the last six years here in the Pacific NW. West's CFA copper-free was the least effective and failed completely in the 14th month after installing two coats, with three at the waterline. The bottom looked pretty good at 12 months when I hauled before sailing to Alaska's cold waters from Olympia. Eight weeks later it was a complete mess with a 6" "beard" of growth at the waterline and almost as long on deeper parts of the hull. Our fuel mileage and cruising speed both suffered terribly. Do not use this product unless you relish painting your bottom every year!

Comments about CFA Eco Copper-Free Antifouling Paint:

I can only speak to the Columbia River, but this was totally useless. In less than three weeks, the boats was green (I used the white paint), in three months it looked like I had never applied bottom paint at all.

Comments about West Marine CFA Eco Copper-Free Antifouling Paint:

I had just a couple barnacles and I had to look hard to find them, I was in AHH, I usually have ALOT of barnacles each year, I have used other name brand ablatives and always had barnacles. There was slime though but brushable. READ the directions! DO NOT GET THIS ON YOU. wear a suit, use the correct respirator and goggles. Absolutely this product works for me.

Comments about CFA Eco Copper-Free Antifouling Paint:

Prepped bottom and rolled on easily with uniform color (pretty). Dunked the boat in the fresh water lake for the season and took out late September. No algae, slime or other growth!, same beautiful blue with exception of scum mark at water line. Now in dry dock preparing for another dunking in the spring.
I expect multiple seasons from this first years experience.
