      Best and worst

Comments about Waterproof 1200 Lumen Rechargeable Floodlight:

Best light I ever used but it only lasted an hour. Brightest light but I only had it on less than an hour before it went dead. It never dimmed like the manual said, just died. Tried to plug it in but it wouldn't take a charge. Returned it to the store and they shipped me a new one. New one came in the mail and was DOA. The new one never worked and wouldn't take a charge either. I plan on exchanging this one at the store as well. Let's hope third time is a charm. Love the light when it works.

Comments about Waterproof 1200 Lumen Rechargeable Floodlight:

The biggest pro I have is that the light is extremely bright, and the beam is not overly narrow. In fact, I took a drive with this light and found that it offers around 60% of the width of my high beams of my car, but also around 3 times the distance. This light is just great. Also, I like the charging light that goes out when the battery is charged.

The other reviewer mentioned the gasket in the charging port, and I agree that you have to push a bit, but don't think it is that difficult.

One con is that the lanyard knot that it came with came untied on its own within minutes of using it. The "what if" of this failure could be quite expensive.

My biggest complaint is the SOS light function. I wish there was a way that bypassed this gimmicky function. I'm sure this light could conceivably save someone with the SOS function, but it is annoying to try to turn off the light and have it flash a super bright strobe 2 or 3 times before you can cycle through the SOS function to OFF. Hate this part.

Based on this light's incredible and usable brightness, I would definitely consider getting another one. However, I'd pay a bit more even if I could find one without the SOS function.

In my last review they only allowed two pictures, and I had 4 total to help describe this device in use. Attached are the two additional pics I wanted to add to my previous review.

Comments about Waterproof 1200 Lumen Rechargeable Floodlight:

Since nobody reviewed this and I was in the market for a super bright light that was waterproof, I took a chance and West Marine came through on this one.
After unboxing, there was included, the 3 beam light, an A/C plug charger, and D/C car type charger, a sturdy wrist strap, and a blue cinch bag (bag is NOT waterproof).
The light is blistering bright white light and is trigger activated, cycling through, High, Low, SOS, and off. The three LED lights are in a round triangular pattern, but focus to a spot at less than two feet from a wall.
I am very happy with this purchase and have not put it to "official" use yet, it came fully charged, this was actually stated in the directions, as they told you not to charge it when you first receive it.
However, I do have two minor criticisms, they are not deal breakers, but maybe will be implemented into the next version.
                  1. There is no On/Off switch to protect the trigger switch from engaging if it bumps into something. For this example, your light might be drained and you never knew this.
                  2. I didn't care for the gasketed knob that protects the charging compartment, at the back of the light. It works great to keep out water and is required to access the charging port, but seems that a user might be able to cross thread it when reassembling. To me, this is the failure point of this device.
Like I said, I was really happy with this purchase, even after reading hundreds of review on a AMZN for similar devices, which did't exist at this price point or power.
When used indoors, any enclosed space is flooded in daylight and outdoors, down my very dark and rural street the spotlight is bright and lights a point VERY far away, scattered light also lights the periphery. So this would be good for a night time return to the boat ramp, both by pointing your way and making sure you avoid trees, rocks, and seawalls.
Last comment: I purchased mine on sale, I recommend this as I think the full retail price was a bit much, but still worthwhile.
                  Enjoy, good luck.

                  Service and delivery comments:

Delivered in a reasonable amount of time in a square box wrapped in cushioning paper, no complaints.
