Ancor Heat Shrink Butt Connectors and Ring Terminals are Marine Grade so you can rely on them to securely connect your vessel's electrical system and provide peace of mind when you're far from shore.
These heat shrink terminals include a heat-activated adhesive built into the sleeve of the heat shrink tubing. When heated, they form a watertight seal between the terminal and the wire you are connected to and provide excellent vibration and strain relief.
Sealed connections prevent corrosion which can reduce the carrying capacity of your electrical system and reduce the strength of the conductors. Over time, wire that is not sealed can degrade and break, leading to costly repairs. Tinned copper is used for the conductors because it offers the least electrical resistance while offering the most corrosion protection.
