A simple solution to satisfy USCG requirements for engines installed lower than the fuel tank.
When the fuel inlet (at the ccarburetor or injectors) is located lower than the fuel tank pickup, the U.S. Coast Guard requires an anti-siphon device to be installed at the fuel tank pickup to prevent unwanted fuel spills and consequent flooding of the engine. Our anti-siphon fitting offers a convenient solution to meeting these requirements. This compact aluminum fitting replaces the one at the tank pickup and provides 3/8" hose barbs to secure fuel line. Note that installation will add a minor restriction to the fuel system and may adversely affect the function of an inline Fuel Demand Valve. We recommend the use of fuel compatible thread tape for installation
