West Marine's Marine Rx Epoxy Repair Kit is a two-part epoxy putty built for fast, tenacious repairs above and below the waterline. Mixed by hand at a simple 5:1 ratio, it forms a spreadable putty that seals gelcoat scrapes, dock rash, and dings before moisture can work into exposed fiberglass, and it bonds just as well to wood, metal, ceramics, glass, and most plastics for repairs anywhere on the boat. It's rated for non-structural repairs on dry, de-waxed flat, vertical, or inverted surfaces, with a 32 to 36 minute working time (shorter in temperatures above 70°F) that gives you time to shape the repair before it sets, followed by an 18 to 24 hour cure after which it can be sanded, primed, and painted. Once cured, it resists oils and solvents for a lasting, waterproof seal. Each 2 oz. kit yields roughly a golf ball sized amount of mixed putty, enough for touch-up repairs, with the two-part formula easy to mix in batches for larger jobs.
