Mark fishing hot spots with buoys.

Since the advent of modern fishfinders, many anglers have forgotten about some practical old school technology that can help you catch more fish. We’re talking about small fishing marker buoys which are still in use today. Popular among tournament anglers, fishing marker buoys are used to mark ledges, drop-offs, weed piles and other structure where you know fish are to be found. Examples of fishing marker buoys include Eagle Claw’s Dumbell Marker Buoy, Taylor Made’s Hot Spot Marker Buoy and Suremarker’s Fishing Marker Buoy. Hint: Make sure the competition doesn’t see you when you drop that buoy!

Another type of buoy that is used by commercial and recreational fishermen to mark nets or crab pots are net buoys and low-drag buoys such as Taylor Made’s Spoiler™.
