12'6" Twelve Six Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard Package
The question isn't where CAN you take this iSUP, it's where CAN'T you!
Although the Twelve Six Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard (or iSUP) from Level Six is over 12 feet long when inflated, it is small enough when deflated, folded up and placed in the included carrying bag to store or transport practically anywhere. Really. Like in the almost non-existent trunk of an ultra-compact hybrid, in your checked bags for that flight to Maui, under your desk at work, in a cabin locker on your liveaboard, on the back of your scooter, under the futon in your studio apartment, inside your dock box at the marina, under Captain Edward John Smith's bed on the RMS Titanic (well it could have). Are you seeing a pattern here? You can't use the excuse that you don't have anywhere to put it or you don't have any way to get it to your next water adventure. And getting it ready to launch is as easy as taking it out of the carrying bag, unfolding it, attaching the high-pressure hand pump, inflating it and splashing it in the nearest flat water or surf. This board is so stable, even beginners will be quickly paddling off with a smile on their face.
Construction
The Twelve Six iSUP is made from nylon and PVC. The top and bottom fabric layers are held together by nylon tethers forming a drop-stitch core. This strong construction allows the board to hold high air pressure while keeping its shape. This core is then wrapped in double layers of seam-welded PVC for an incredibly stiff, yet light board.
Deck
The large deck traction pad makes a comfortable, nonslip platform for paddling efficiency. A deck bungee cord up front gives you an easy-to-access spot for your water bottle, dry bag or other essentials (all sold separately). There's a handy D-ring at the back of the board to attach your leash. A carry handle is included in the middle of the deck to make it easier to carry when inflated.
Volume
When deciding on an SUP, you'll want to choose a board with adequate volume. This can be the difference between gliding smoothly across the surface or spending your time fighting that very real sinking feeling! Proper volume is influenced by two key variables with an SUP: combined rider and cargo weight, plus skill level. The recommended weight limit for the Twelve Six iSUP is 300 pounds for those with a beginner or novice skill level. Experienced paddlers may find they can even exceed this recommended weight limit!
Shape
The aggressive nose design makes the Twelve Six iSUP a good choice for touring and recreational racing.
Rocker
Rocker refers to the upward "bending" of the nose and tail when the board is lying flat. Boards have varying degrees of rocker depending on the board type. The modest 4" nose rocker on the Twelve Six iSUP keeps the board above the water surface for cruising through wind chop. The lack of a tail rocker (no upward bend) makes the board more forgiving and improves balance for beginners.
