Rigid versus Inflatable Paddleboards

When shopping for a SUP you’ll need to choose between a rigid fiberglass and an inflatable board. The tradeoff between rigid SUPs and inflatable models is portability versus performance. While rigid SUPs beat inflatable SUPs on performance, purchasing an inflatable model gives you the ability to pack your deflated board into your car’s trunk for easy transport to anywhere you like.

Take your weight and skill level into account.

Choosing the best paddleboard for you also entails taking the weight capacity of the board and your skill level into consideration. Long narrow boards are faster than wide boards but not as stable.
