The Surf Brim Hat from Patagonia is made for your comfort and protection, regardless of whether you ever paddle out. If you're in, on or even around the water, you'll appreciate the difference the smallest details in this hat make in your day. Like how the wide foam brim shelters your head, face, ears and neck, yet still allows clean duck-dives. Or how the dark underbill reduces the glare from the water's surface so you can keep an eye on the men in gray suits (sharks) in between sets. The soft, neoprene chin strap will keep it securely on your head through wind and water, but can be tucked away when you're kicked back on the beach just enjoying the view. Size S/M fits 21 3/4"-22 3/4" head circumference; L/XL fits 22 3/4"-24". 100% recycled nylon shell and underbill. 1mm neoprene chin strap and headband. Imported.
Recycled Nylon
The Surf Brim Hat is made of soft, fast-drying, easy-care, 100% recycled nylon with a sun-blocking foam brim that holds its shape as you travel far and wide. By incorporating recycled nylon, dependence on petroleum as a raw material source is reduced and causes less air, water and soil contamination compared to using non-recycled nylon. A UPF sun protection rating of 50+ is built-in to keep the UV rays at bay and not wear off. This bluesign® approved fabric (see below) features a durable water repellent (DWR) finish that sheds water like a duck's back. The soft neoprene headband dries quickly, and along with the adjustable rear buckle, customizes the fit.
