Quick Shift

Automatically engages with a deliberate bump of the shift button (low-speed) or spin of the shift knob (high-speed). This is the easiest and most angler-friendly two-speed feature on the market and can be performed without letting go of the handle.

Dura-Drag™

The Dura-Drag™ system dramatically improves the performance of Penn International® Reels, extending the life-span of an International® drag. No more hesitations or jerky drags thanks to the smooth performance and more consistent drag pressure. In laboratory testing, the new Dura-Drag™ sustained its original drag settings after 100-hours of drag “burn-time”. This powerful system endures high levels of heat generated during big game battles as it is based on the same materials used in the transmission of racing cars. Finally, the Dura-Drag™ system contains Phenolic bonding agents to prevent premature material breakdown and block water from entering.

Push-to-Turn

Designed to prevent unintentional changes to a Lever-Drag’s drag setting, Penn’s Push-to-Turn requires the drag pre-set knob to be intentionally pushed while rotating the pre-set to gain more (clockwise) or less drag (counter-clockwise).
