As fuel filters fill with rust, debris, and algae the fuel flow through them decreases. This can lead to de-gassing of fuel and can reduced engine performance and efficiency. Boaters can stay on top of fuel filter condition by using a vacuum gauge to monitor fuel flow restriction caused by the filter. This Racor vacuum gauge kit is designed for remote installations within 15 feet of fuel filter/water separators and provides a visual indicator to alert boaters to changes in filter performance. The color coded dial offers cautionary and critical ranges; a red line sticker can be applied to dial to mark the point at which a filter change is required.
