The SHIMANO Calcutta is a classic round baitcasting reel, now upgraded with Dartanium drag for smooth operation under pressure and a wide range of settings. Anti-rust bearings are ten times more corrosion-resistant than stainless steel. Assist Stopper reduces the stress placed on the one-way roller bearing to increase durability. Variable Brake System (VBS) uses centrifugal force rather than magnets to aid in controlling the cast for increased distance and adjustability. Cold-forged aluminum frame, side plates and spool provide the strongest, tightest tolerances for excellent smoothness and legendary durability.
