Boost crew comfort and safety with Type IV throwable cushions.
If you own a boat over 16 feet, the USCG requires that you equip it with at least one kind of Type IV throwable flotation. Throwable cushions are the most popular variety of Type IV flotation. The reason for this is that apart from satisfying the USCG requirement, purchasing a set of boat throw cushions also provides passengers and crew with comfortable cushions on which to sit—a win/win for onboard safety! Cushions are constructed of PE foam covered with a polyester shell. All include polyester grab straps. One drawback of throwable cushions (in the estimation of some boaters) is that they can clutter boat cockpits. If you want to eliminate that clutter, consider the inflatable TD2401 Type IV Throwable PFD. When inflated it about the size of a regular Type IV cushion, but with a small stored size is quite unobtrusive, unlike throwable cushions which can get in the way.
