Utility Boxes
Organize and stow your gear with utility boxes.
In the small confines of a boat, keeping gear organized and stowed away when not in use is essential. West Marine offers a number of utility boxes for this purpose. The most popular use for utility boxes is for organizing and storing fishing lures, line and terminal tackle. Examples of available boxes include Plano’s line of waterproof and non-waterproof StowAway® utility boxes. Two smart additions to Plano’s lineup of storage boxes are their Liqua-Bait Locker™ and their Fishing Leader Spool Box. Larger items like fishing reels or photographic gear can be stored in their dry storage tackle boxes. For even larger items, consider one Plano’s Sportman’s Utility Trunks. Common features to look for in a marine box include an O-ring seal, sturdy hinges, locking hasps and movable partitions, which enable you to rearrange the contents inside. Apart from boxes by Plano, West Marine also offers storage options by Calcutta and Grip on Tools.
