I used Gluvit to seal all of the rivets on an old jon boat. After some prep work, the material was easy to apply. The boat did not leak after the application of Gluvit, even after years of hard use dragging the boat to remote spots.

One reveiwer mentioned that the can was not full. He didn't read the paperwork. It has the quantity stated, but the material is not full to the brim for mixing.

Comments about Travaco Gluvit Epoxy Waterproof Sealer:

I bought this product specifcally to seal a 12 ft v bottom row boat. I thoroughly cleaned the bought twice and used a stainless steel brush to clean the rivets and seams. I let it dry one full week in a heated garage. I took the boat out in 50f weather, the water temperature was 38f. The boat leaks worse than before. I should have just took the money I spent on the gluvit and bought aluminium welding rods because the prep work is the same. Also the pint can was only 3/4 full which just adds insult to injury. Now I also have to clean the gluvits off the boat so I can seal the leaks..again.

Comments about Gluvit Epoxy Waterproof Sealer:

I bought an old 12 ft aluminum V bottom boat for my son's the boat wasn't stored upside down in winters, the frozen water broke the seals and rivets. I used a quart of this Glovit on the main seal and coated all the rivets, both inside and out. I have taken out my boys on two separate occasions and not one drop of water in the boat. I was told this product is designed to flex with the aluminum and not crack and break like other epoxies, I used one from Ace hardware for marine use that's exactly what it did when the boat flexed. I would highly recommend this product, make sure you clean the aluminum first and use sand paper to rough up the surface; I would suggest two coats to be sure.
