Comments about Gray PVC Inflatable Boat Repair Kit:

I used this kit to repair a 15 year old Sevylor inflatable raft that even Sevylor (Coleman) couldn't tell me what material it was made of. The raft had gashes on both sides, directly on these large seams, so I had little confidence in a successful repair. I carefully cleaned the raft material, per the kits directions, and cut each patch into two patches, placing one inside the raft (yes, the gashes were large that large) and the other patch on the outside. Because of the large seams, the patches wouldn't lie flat against the material, however, I used the included glue liberally, and pressed the patch with a heavy object.
The glue dried clear, and gave the raft "character." After inflating, the patches seemed to hold, so we headed to Florida. We ventured out into the gulf several times, and without losing so much as a breath of air from the raft! I must say I tired of paddling in the surf, but neither I nor my family had to swim in it! The repair is clear (glue) and flexible, and has held up fantastic. Better than expectations.
