Comments about GTU Gore Shaft Packing:

Had never replaced my packing before, so called the manufacture and they walked me through the process. It was super easy. I just rapped the packing around the shaft and cut it off to form a concentric circle and then tapped it into the packing box and screwed the cap back on. I was only able to get one in but the manufacture recommended 2 to 3. When we were putting the boat in the water we checked for leaks and it leaked a little bit. We went ahead and motored over to the slip, turned off the engine and just hand tightened the cap a little more and it hasn't leaked since.
