    Comments about 2015 Flagship Varnish:

Flagship applied in direct sunlight, shade, 50% humidity, 80% humidity conditions with temperatures ranging from 65 deg. to 80 deg. and under all conditions the varnish would caterpillar during drying leaving a very crinkled surface. Material was purchased during the spring of 2015. Other boaters on the dock purchased from a different supplier in the area and experienced the same results. Several were extremely experienced with maintaining bright work. Other manufacturer's varnish were used by all with no negative effects or flaws....not an application issue since all had a common problem with the 2015 and 100% success with other manufacture's products. Waiting for a reply form Pettit on their website.

Refinished exterior teak on my trawler. Five coats on bare wood with light sanding in between resulted in very smooth glass like finish.

          Comments about 2015 Flagship Varnish:

This is a great marine varnish. Beautiful amber color makes wood look rich and glossy. Does not need to be thinned, but it can be if you desire. I have been using this product for years on my wood boat and I love it. It provides a durable finish.

            Comments about 2015 Flagship Varnish:

used this to refinish teak as well as varnish a new cedar companionway door i made. took to both surfaces extremely well and came out with a glossy thick appearance after 3-4 coats. i sanded lightly between coats with 220-grit. already gotten some compliments on the work!
make sure your surfaces are completely ready before you begin work, as this stuff will highlight not only beautiful grain but also deep sanding marks and imperfections

              Comments about 2015 Flagship Varnish:

I've always used Flagship Varnish as my preferred coating for residential entrance doors and exterior woodwork. It has superior sheen and takes multiple coats with ease. Leaves a mirror like finish after only 3 coats and lasts for up to three years before more coats need to be added. I would never use anything else and I can't think of anything that isn't great about it. I recommend it to everyone.
