Our sailboat stands have been independently tested and are certified to a safe working load of 20,000 lbs. (9,100 kgs). Our sailboat stands are built with the same high quality as our motorboat stands but have a 23-degree angled base. This allows for better support against sailboat hulls and also powerboats with steep angled hulls. Our sailboat stands are very versatile. Between the angled base and the swivel top, the pad can go from parallel to the ground to 45-degrees, thereby having the ability to safely support virtually any boat. When not is use, the sailboat stands nest neatly for storage.
Most of the vessel’s weight rests on its keel on either wood blocking or keel stands. The boat stands safely balance the load when used properly; one stand every 8’ – 10’ (3 meters) along each side of the boat. With sailboat stands, it is crucial that a chain be utilized to connect the stands across the width of the boat (port to starboard). A slot is welded on each base to allow for the chain. This prevents the stands from slipping. Additionally, it is recommended to utilize a stand with a V-Top at the center line towards the bow to prevent the boat from tipping forward on its keel.
