When below-deck space is limited or your boat requires a mast-mounted installation, this compact motor electric winch is the perfect option. Convenient and easy to use, it has a highly compact variable-speed motor that uses 30-50% less power consumption as well as an impressive line speed and high-load capacity. The motor uses non-carbon brush technology to minimize wear. It features the Power Rib, which places vertical ribs running up the surface of the drum to ensure maximum grip and minimum wear on ropes, reducing the replacement costs of sheets and halyards. The Power Rib also makes for fewer turns on the winch to make tracking easier. Andersen winches require less maintenance, too, since all pawls and springs are captive. And when it is time for maintenance, they are easy to strip down for greesing and/or additional servicing.

Electric conversion kits come mounted to a stainless steel winch/deck connection plate and have everything for easy, do-it-yourself mounting, including switches, cable terminals and an installation manual. The conversion kits are designed for tight installations and will fit models 28ST to 72ST.
