This Surge Chamber from Centek Marine is a fiberglass surge chamber installed in the exhaust run to prevent surging water from traveling back up toward the exhaust manifold. Engine rooms depend on exhaust components that are matched precisely to the boat's plumbing runs; this unit is manufactured so it drops into place on refits and new builds alike without requiring custom fabrication. Intended application: Preventing surging water from reaching the exhaust manifold. Made from the same fiberglass and fire-retardant resin used in Vernatube, this fitting is lightweight, non-corroding, and durable, with an O.D. sized to accept standard approved marine exhaust hose. All Centek Marine exhaust fittings carry the Lloyd's Register Type Approval.
