Centek Marine Vernatone Round Wet Exhaust Muffler, 5.00" Inlet/Outlet - Starboard

This Vernatone Round from Centek Marine, catalog part #1000250, is the original round-profile Vernatone inline wet exhaust muffler, the FRP muffler that has been an inboard standard for over 60 years. Engine rooms depend on exhaust components that are matched precisely to the boat's plumbing runs; this unit is manufactured to a inlet/outlet diameter of 5.00" (127 mm); overall length of 35.63" (905 mm); body diameter of 10.00" (254 mm), so it drops into place on refits and new builds alike without requiring custom fabrication. Intended application: All inboard applications. Compatible with Gas or diesel engines.

Above waterline only. Sound attenuation is rated at 15-18 dB. Construction uses Centek's fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), which will not corrode or deteriorate when exposed to gasoline or diesel exhaust fumes mixed with salt or fresh water, and it eliminates the electrolysis and weld failures that can occur with metal mufflers. Centek Marine mufflers carry the Lloyd's Register Type Approval and are backed by a 5-year limited warranty on standard fiberglass products. Boat builders, refitters, and naval architects have specified Centek Marine exhaust components since 1962; the company's engineering team maintains an extensive database of heat and airflow requirements across virtually every marine diesel and gas engine manufacturer. If this exact configuration doesn't match an existing installation, Centek's engineers can design a custom part to the vessel's exact specifications.
