The Dakota Lithium 24V 5A LiFePO4 Battery Charger is purpose-built for trickle charging large 24V lithium battery packs. Optimized specifically for Dakota Lithium's lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries, this charger delivers a consistent 5-amp charge rate that balances speed with long-term battery health. It is compatible with Li-Ion, LiFePO4, NCM, and other lithium battery chemistries, and will work with any Dakota Lithium batteries wired in series to create a 24V system. It is not recommended for use with lead acid or SLA batteries.

At a 5A charge rate, a 24V 10Ah Dakota Lithium battery charges in under 2 hours, while a 24V 50Ah battery charges in under 10 hours. For most applications, a charging time of 3–10 hours provides the longest battery lifespan. Dakota Lithium batteries can safely accept up to a 1C charge rate (1-hour charge) when rapid charging is needed, though extended use at this rate may reduce overall lifespan. For maximum longevity, a charge rate of 0.3C or less is recommended — meaning the charger amp rating should be 1/3 or less of the battery's amp-hour rating.

This charger outputs 28.8 volts, which is the recommended charge voltage for 24V Dakota Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. Using an SLA or lead acid charger will reduce performance and lifespan of lithium batteries, making a LiFePO4-compatible charger like this one essential for proper battery care.
