The Dometic SeaStar i7852-BE electronic engine control kit brings together decades of mechanical engine control expertise and cutting-edge electronics to deliver a system that enhances performance and comfort on virtually any boat and engine combination. Designed for single station, dual engine applications, this kit ships complete with all components required for a full base installation, including dual i7700 universal actuators, a dual top mount control head kit with trim in an all-black finish, CAN bus harnesses, and NMEA communication hardware.

The system communicates over an automotive-grade high-speed CAN network operating at 250 kbps, with all actuators linked to the control head via a single 1/4" (6mm) CANbus cable. A dual redundant position sensing system monitors all moving components, while low-backlash position control ensures precise, repeatable actuation. The i7700 actuator integrates both shift and throttle functions within a single compact housing, minimizing installation complexity.

For added peace of mind on the water, a mechanical override "get home" feature allows for manual control of shift and throttle if needed. The integrated neutral start protection (NSP) switch prevents accidental engine starts out of neutral, and a neutral warm-up mode lets engines reach operating temperature safely. Engine RPM synchronization enables single lever cruise control across both engines, while a user-settable trolling mode increases throttle resolution for more precise low-speed maneuvering.

The control lever features adjustable drag and detent settings for a personalized feel. Additional stations can be added — up to a maximum of three — using separately available add-a-station kits. The system requires setup tool EPSK1207 for installation and is compatible with SeaStar Xtreme family control cables (CCX633XX series).
